Episode 55: Kendra Cunov

This week on the show, Kendra joins me to talk about the importance of self-love, love and belongingness, and how understanding your feminine and masculine energy helps relationship and intimacy. I also share my thoughts on building game-changing businesses and helping people to improve.

Kendra and I discuss:

  • How observing a community of people in the monastery drove her inquiry on personal growth and interpersonal dynamics
  • There is a value in teasing the kinds of love apart and that they actually happen together.
  • Distinguishing feminine and masculine from male and female
  • How teasing the feminine and masculine energy apart helps in creating sparks in an intimate relationship
  • How honoring all the sides of masculine and feminine keeps them from becoming toxic
  • What women want men to know and what she thinks men want women to know

  • How her relationship with life and death changed
  • Getting rid of fear as a response to death using play and humor

  • Reminiscing her relationship with James
  • Grieving through living your best life

Episode 53: Monica Day

This week on the show, Monica Day joins me to share her expertise around sex, love and relationships. I also share my thoughts on the theme that we will be exploring over the next couple of weeks - love and connection.

Monica and I discuss:

  • Being aware of some relationship patterns and wanting to heal those patterns
  • Learning that as a woman you should take ownership of your sex
  • How studying your orgasm enables you to change some patterns in your intimacy, relationships and other parts of your life
  • The difference between the language of sensation and the language of judgment
  • Discovering the relationship structure that you want - monogamy and polyamory
  • What is the connection between spirituality and sex

More about Monica

Monica Day is many things. Writer, artist, performer. Producer, muse, entrepreneur. Coach and overall instigator of aliveness.

Her innovative individual and group programs cover topics from sensuality to creativity to business to larger social issues of race and oppression (often in the same session). By forging powerful links between the private self to the public self, clients eventually realize an unprecedented feeling of wholeness that is life-changing.

She has created a one-woman show titled Song of the Sacred Whore, a collaborative cabaret entitled The Secret Order of the Libertines: An Intimate Revolution, and made numerous appearances at the Erotic Literary Salon and other spoken word and storytelling venues in NYC and Philadelphia.

She has worked with start-up companies, such as Odwalla and The Republic of Tea, consulted with dozens of businesses and nonprofits, and spent thousands of hours with groups and individuals to build skills in the areas of diversity, communication, and collective decision-making.

She just released her first book, Play Wild, Stay Safe: The Guide to Giving and Receiving.

“If there is one thing I’ve learned, through this diverse and complicated path I’ve chosen, it is this:

Our best self is our whole self. Our unfiltered self. The authentic person we are when we are not trying to fit into tiny boxes and roles and stereotypes.

Ultimately, that’s both what I do, and who I am: an advocate and instigator of embodied, integrated, activated, be your whole fucking self, live your biggest life, always.

I think that’s what changes the world.”
