Derick Deal is the owner of Darwinian Fitness and a transformational coach. Prior to running his own practice, Derick was on the coaching team for Precision Nutrition – the industry leader in high-performance nutrition. Derick has also co-owned a strength & conditioning training center in addition to having consulted for various businesses and government organizations on how to lead a healthy, happy, & balanced lifestyle. Derick’s clients include c-suite executives, Olympians, academics, & high-functioning professionals. At heart, Derick is an adventurer, spiritual seeker, & philosopher – earning his degree in philosophy from the University of Virginia.

Derick is also a thought-leader within the fitness industry. Darwinian fitness starts with the premise that most individuals – and traditional fitness industry establishments (from Yoga to Crossfit) – don’t properly define what fitness is. What does a successful fitness approach look like? How should we approach fitness activities from the perspective that as human beings, we depend on mental, emotional, & social skills as much as physical ones? As Darwin observed, Fitness in a species is its ability to adapt and thrive in response to the environment it finds itself in. Disruptive technologies, social media, & globalization are just some of the forces that make for a rapidly changing environment. Given this, how is our approach to self-development and self-care keeping up with making us more resilient, healthy, & adaptable to an ever-changing environment? Shouldn’t the process by which we enhance our ability to adapt and thrive in such an environment be at the core of what it means to be fit?

Derick is currently based in the Washington D.C. area and in addition to his one-on-one coaching practice, leads seminars, workshops, & powerful experiences to model Darwinian Fitness. His approach centers on creating arenas for the cultivation of mindsets, skillsets, & adaptations across the areas of mental fitness, social fitness, & emotional fitness. These mental, social, and emotional arenas are layered on top of a deep re-connection and respect for the physical body. As such, the Darwinian fitness model approaches Physical fitness through helping people rediscover the wisdom of their bodies, the joy of movement, & vibrant sense of living in-tune with one’s own body.

Anthony Trucks is a proud husband and father of 3, former NFL player, American Ninja Warrior, gym owner, international speaker, author, six figure consultant, and a guy who genuinely loves to improve peoples lives by teaching them HOW to go from surviving to thriving when you Trust Your Hustle.

Anthony was handed away by his mother at the age of 3. Together with his siblings, they would enter foster care system and spend the earliest years of their lives feeling less than human. He experienced physical and mental abuse, starvation, and torture. Before the age of 6, he was placed into a home where he would eventually be adopted 8 years later as the sole black person in a poor all white family.

Anthony’s life has been riddled with ups and downs from the start, and they haven’t slowed down three decades later. He had to sever his biological mother’s rights in person in court at 14 from the stand to get adopted, his foster brother almost died, his foster mom contracted an incurable disease called MS, he got arrested at 17 at gunpoint, found God, earned a college scholarship, found his biological father who didn’t know he existed at 19, had his first son in college at 20, three grandparents passed, one grandparent by suicide, he played in the NFL, and he was cut twice before ending his NFL career due to an injury.

Anthony has always been determined to win in life. He then opened a successful 6 figure gym that he almost lost multiple times, found out his dad DID know about him all those years when he told him at 29 before he passed, and came minutes from taking his own life after his high school sweetheart had a heart shattering affair after they had their second and third children; a set of twins that they almost lost before their birth.

For many people these life issues would leave them broken and unable to function in life, but for Anthony it was the opposite. He’ve fought HARD and come out successful on the other side.

After a decade of success in real estate, Marc Mawhinney went through business closure and challenges that would have caused most to give up.

How did he get back on track?

With the help of coaches!

After years of being a lone wolf and being proud of “going it alone,” he experienced the power of coaching first-hand, and it really made a difference. So when he was ready to go back into business, he knew that he wanted to be a coach. He wanted to help others like he'd been helped.

He dove in and became a coach, and discovered what every new coach learns when he gets into this business … it’s not easy! So when he finally got it rolling, he knew that he didn’t want other coaches to go through the same growing pains that he did.

So, Marc launched “Natural Born Coaches,”, a podcast to help coaches with their businesses. He has completed 500 episodes of the podcast over the last few years and talked with well over 1000 coaches every year (on-air and off-air).

Mark Usher has emerged through porn addiction, erectile dysfunction, self-harm, depression, anxious breakdowns, suicidal impulses, suffocating low self-esteem in intimate relationships, a “Change or Lose Your Family” marital ultimatum on the long and intense road to now living life on his terms while becoming a life coach for men.

Along the way he ran an equestrian centre and olive farm with his wife, tried and failed to set up a B&B in Italy, moved country, decided to never work another day as a chartered physiotherapist one week after making the most money in three years of business, decided to home-school his children, before eventually realizing his life’s calling is coaching.

He now fearlessly coaches guys with great intentions of creating miraculously big impacts in their lives, relationships and their life mission.

Mark believes that allowing ourselves as men to accept that “self-praise is the highest praise” is fundamental to being able to love ourselves fearlessly and therefore to love all others also. He passionately holds that giving ourselves permission to form heroic and unlimited identities of our selves NOW is crucial to ultimately living and dying without regret

He bases his whole turnaround on making three things his priority number one in life; his own spiritual alignment, his family/tribe’s happiness and his life’s mission. He challenges himself  and clients to achieve perfect alignment between these three with no compromise of the other.

WHO AM I?

One of the most important questions we can ever ask ourselves is, ‘Who am I?’.

I'ts perhaps the only question that counts. This is the thought David shared with me when I asked him for a bio.

So, who is David Taylor?

David Taylor is a coach who works with people through conversation to create powerful, personal transformations. He notices subtle and ordinary shifts that when acted on can create extraordinary transformations.

David is a film maker and over recent years, he has deepened his work using film and developing the Stillness Process to enable people to be truly seen in their raw, authentic vulnerability. The camera becoming a magnifier to tender love stories of the soul, sometimes to powerfully cathartic revelations. All of the experiences create profound possibilities of transformation.

David is a father of two young boys who are creating their own identity and mark on the world. So diverse in their character and interests and yet bounded by a common love of each other and the family. He is a husband of twenty four years to Truda. Another journey of ups and downs, of failing and learning. A relationship where the whole day can light up with a simple smile or a kind touch.

David is the co-founder of an eight-figure business and is constantly learning what it takes to create sustainable success. Again it is in the ordinary, overlooked, day to day detail. He has built up his own consultancy that grew to seven figures before choosing to focus purely on transformational coaching and making films.

These are all aspects of things David does and yet none of them truly define who he is.

David is passionate in his work of enabling others to be profoundly seen. To pursue this question of, “Who am I?”. To open a window into the essence of their being. A window that can create powerful transformation, and the ripples of awareness and permission never end.

Of course, It is never about the camera.

Norm Hewitt is a former New Zealand Maori Rugby team captain, All Black, and motivational speaker on sport, the community and personal fulfillment. Not to mention, the winner of the inaugural "Dancing With the Stars”.

Norm Hewitt is a remarkable man. Softly spoken, he embodies all things rugged and male but has earned an entirely different reputation since winning Dancing With the Stars with partner Carol-Ann Hickmore in 2005. Now Norm is a mentor to youth and an ambassador for many charitable organizations. But it wasn't always that way.

Norm is a former New Zealand Maori Rugby team captain and All Black. In a long career from 1988 to 2001, he was a frequently a controversial and outspoken figure. However, his significance to New Zealand rugby as a player should not be underestimated. Norm was at his best a dynamic hooker effective both in the tight and in the loose.

In 2001, Michael Laws wrote Norm's bestselling rugby biography Gladiator: the Norm Hewitt Story (2001). It has been described by the Dominion newspaper as "Remarkably readable, sometimes controversial and frank... ...Hewitt’s refreshing honesty will appeal to a wide cross-section of New Zealanders. It will also be hard to beat as the New Zealand sports book of the year."

A product of Hawke's Bay, Norm made that NZRU's representative side as a 20-year hooker in 1988 and until 1994 he played in 92 matches, including the wins over the 1993 Lions and the 1994 French. Between 1995 and 1997 he played 22 matches for Southland, moving there after the Bay were relegated to the NPC second division. Hewitt's third provincial side was Wellington, for whom he played 31 matches between 1999 and 2001, the highlight being leading the side despite a broken arm in the NPC first division final of 2000 against Canterbury.

He was also a stalwart of the Hurricanes and New Zealand Maori sides, often as the captain. He played in 66 Super 12 matches and was in the Maori side for more than a decade. With his provincial, Super 12 and Maori matches plus appearances in various trials and national sides such as the Colts, the Divisional XV and New Zealand A selections Hewitt amassed a staggering 296 first class matches.

He made the All Black side as understudy to Sean Fitzpatrick in the 1993 series against the Lions and made the tour later that year to Scotland and England. Reserve through all the 1994 season, in 1995 he was in the World Cup squad finally getting some test time as a blood bin sub and then when Sean was spelled in the romp over Japan. Over six seasons Norm had 23 All Black matches including nine tests.

Now you can enjoy this exciting speaker as he talks about his life, his failures and his views on sport, the community and personal fulfillment. And who knows he may even dance for you.Norm is also passionate about health and safety issues. His talk "Fit for Purpose" is all about team, safety, and looking after each other.

Mark Silverman is a sales leader who generated over $90 million in revenue at some of the world’s fastest growing companies like NetApp, VMWare, EMC and Service Now.

Having succeeded at the highest levels in business, he realized, through his own experience and that of his contemporaries, that motivations that drive success for many people in their 20s and 30s, are often unsustainable into their 40s and 50s. Perspective, increased responsibilities, and pressures call for new skills and mindsets in order to perform and thrive at peak levels.

Mark is also the author of the bestselling book, "Only 10s, Using Distraction to Get the Right Things Done”, which explores the exponential results available when you cultivate a mindset of internal leadership.
